A compulsory skill for losing an opponent, The Cruyff Turn was made famous by the legendary Dutchman Johan Cruyff during the 1974 FIFA World Cup. The idea is to look as if you are going to pass or cross the ball, but instead, drag the ball behind your standing leg with the inside of your foot, turn your shoulders and hips through 180 degrees and accelerate away with the ball. Easy peasy! Cruyff is shown in orange, with his bemused opponent in blue.
