Inspired By One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest: Randle Patrick McMurphy Football Shirt

The football shirt for “Ratched’s Rangers”, inspired by the film adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The Ratched’s Rangers badge features a silhouette of the Oregon State Hospital in which R.P. McMurphy and his cohorts are being treated, and the year the events of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest takes place. The main sponsor, R.P. McMurphy Fishing Tours (Siuslaw Bay, Oregon), commemorates only the very best of fishing trips. 

The man himself, Randle Patrick “Mac” McMurphy, gives his name to the back of our shirt, and 75, the year of the film’s release. The design of the shirt itself is a nod to McMurphy’s white-over-blue shirt ensemble. 

Finally, on the sleeve, we have Cheswick’s Cigarette Co.
