An illustration inspired by the artist Ralf Steadman’s experience with Hunter S Thompson and Joseph Conrad’s novel “Heart of Darkness”. In 1974 Steadman accompanied hunter to Zaire for the “Rumble in the Jungle” boxing title fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. However Hunter S Thompson ended up missing the “fight of the century” as he was intoxicated and lying in the swimming pool.
